PLACES TO EAT IN SOUTH GOA AND PANJIM…..

Goa is my favourite place to sip, dip and lip-smacking meals…

1. FISHERMAN’S WHARF-Located on the banks of River Sal, The Fisherman’s Wharf in Cavelossim is a favourite amongst locals as well as tourists. This place gives its guests a slice of goa and the flavours of its cuisine.It serves fresh seafood and apart from the Goan cuisine, it serves fusion food which is amazing.The view at the restaurants accentuates the whole taste.

2. JOETS- This one is famous for seafood on Bogmalo beach , south Goa.This place offers a beautiful setting,away from maddening crowds of beachgoers,awesome sunset views,live music and equally good food make it worth.Do try the PRAWN CURRY and SEASONED MUSSELS.

3. MARTIN’S CORNER-It serves the best Goan yummy looking food. The ambience is good for family, friends , everyone , gives typical Goan vibes.Try the crab in Goan masala, fish curry, or the pork chilly fry…all great..one of my all-time favourite place to have lunch when in Goa. This place is a hit with foreigners.

4.GEORGE- This restaurant is located near Mary Immaculate Conception Church in Panjim. It is one of the oldest restaurants where you eat homemade style Goan dishes.Try the GARLICKY PRAWN PLATTER,FRIED MACKERAL, spicy PORK SAUSAGE. Its a compact place but that doesn’t stop anyone from dine in….

5.ZEEBOP- Fabulous seafood and a long stretch of pale sand looking out over the Arabian Sea is what the Zeebop cafe on Utorda beach offers.This beach spot offers casual all-day dining and some of the finest seafood in Goa. Order the spicy mackerel rechado, fish curry and any one of the drinks in their perfect drinks menu, I would say try Feni…

6.MICKEYS- Mickeys is a large beach shack on the colva beach.Perfect place to go with family as kids would be happy to see the large aquarium. Try the chicken cafreal ,beef xacuti, Goan prawn curry.

7.BLACK SHEEP BISTRO-This Portuguese house–styled restaurant is tucked away in the cosy by-lanes of central Panjim. It serves the modern fusion cuisine with Goan touch ,especially of the seasonal fruits and fresh catch.Try the fish cakes,prawn plancha,red kishmoor fish and also the pistachio kheer. Selection of wines is also good.The sitting is limited, hence it’s advised to have a reservation.

8.VERANDAH RESTAURANT– When in Benaulim Beach, drop into this scenic beach shack for some amazing view and meals.A really well run shack right perfect for a Sundowner and evening meal.Try juicy steaks with mashed potatoes, malabar chicken curry with garlic parantha.

9.THE GARDEN-The restaurant is located at the Colva Beach Road, and there you can find so many different exotic continental and seafood dishes. From spicy Goan sausages to the Chicken Xacuti, this place offers everything.

10.LONGUINHOS[MARGOA]-It is a very old place in Margoa where locals and tourists alike visit it for its old-Irani-café-like ambience and superlative food.Try the fish curry rice, Beef Steak, Chicken Cafreal, Pork Vindaloo, Banchao, Sorpotel and of course the plethora of seafood it offers.
